I am trying to apply for my first job and my mom and I have not been able to find my social security card. I am told that I have to have it in order to fill out my job applications. I was also told by my school counselor that I am going to need it to fill out college applications as well. So, anyone out there know where I can find my social security number by searching online?

My father in law is disabled (partially blind) and on social security. He would like to start a corporation to run a family business – he would just be a shareholder/director.

My husband was a consultant as a second job and was paid for his services. The company did not take out taxes or social security. Do we need to pay social security on this income? The form was a 1099.

I think I may have paid in too much for social security in 2007. I made a little over 17,000 dollars and paid 1075.00 for social security. How can I find out how much I should have paid in?
Mexicans Smell asked:
I hear lots of conservatives whining about how Mexicans are mooching off the system, etc.. using our welfare system, food stamps, etc.. and all of these services require proof of residency through social security number and I was really wondering how the little Mexican working 120 hours a week for a dollar a day gets the black market connections as well as the money to get a social security number. Also, as previously stated, any idea how much they cost? Thanks.

I have a client that is worried about having his social security withheld because he owes money to the state for back child support. Is it possible to withhold his social secuirty because of these child support payments? I thought social security couldn’t be touched.
